My Release

Sooo I am 5'3", I'm white, and I have midget arms. Let's face it, white girls just can't jump. BUT I play basketball at least once a week, and I think I'm pretty good at it. I have been thinking a lot about the sport lately, and it really is a complete release for me. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than to play the game. I love to run, to hustle, to guard. I love getting in someone's face, or even stealing the ball from them... I love draining threes. I absolutely adore communicating with my teammates. What could be more satisfying than to practice a play over and over with your team and then have it work during a big game? I love teamwork. Hustle. Winning. Coming off of the court hot and sweaty with a smile on my face is what I look like when I'm on cloud nine. All of my worries go away when I have a basketball in my hand, and that feeling can never be taken away from me. It's not just a game for me, it's a lifestyle. People find themselves on the court all the time. It is a place where you can have fun and grow or improve all at the same time. What a wonderful way to lengthen your stride, huh?

  1. Well... not last Tuesday. I did unbelievably well this summer. And I play very different when I play at school. The guys in Richmond are so much better than the people we play with on Tuesday. The passes/assists are so much cleaner. So yes- I tend to drain a lot of 3s :)
